Support gun help
Well, I'm looking to buy a support gun and was wondering what you people recommend. The guns I'm looking at are the A&K m249s, A&K mk43, as well as the CA M249s. Now I've done lots of research in various different forums so no need to redirect me to google search :P I want to here your thoughts on the beasts you OWN or have worked on. So far the CA has got my attention specifically these 2... http://www.imperialairsoft.com/node/392
as well as... http://albertaairsoft.com/webstore/c...m249-para.html. Ones a 8mm gearbox the other is 7mm.Another newbie question I have is do the CA's come with rusted adjustment knobs on the rear sight if so how would i go about removing it? *Please, no "GET G&P" comments*

I'd use some oil to get rid of the rust.
I have a A&K M249 with some strategically upgraded to CA parts. I'd say the CA one in your link is a bargain. The Hi-Cap is a bit lame though, you'll want to get a nutsack and belt of dummy rounds for it.

I run a A&K M249 with a Crunchmeister hop up mod, it gives me superior range over other support guns. You can prob find a A&K M249 for $500-$550.

Oh yeah. I'd get the MAG brand nutsack for sure. Which CA are you talking about though? 2 links.

Have you considered G&P 249s? Very good weapons and version 2 gearbox, so easy to upgrade!!

He basically uses a piece of speaker wire sheith as the nub. You get wicked range. Search Crunchmeisters posts about his M249, he describes it.

Like I mentioned in the first post, I those guys are friggin expensive. The MOST I would put in the LMG would be 700-750 (not including upgrades, accessories, or bb's).

I absolutely suggest you get either a A&K, Echo1 or CA. The brick style mechbox is the absolute most easy and pleasant gearbox to work on.

Yeah, by the looks of it, I'd also rather work on the PGC gear box as opposed to the V2.
