Umarex HK416 - Can't figure out where these 2 parts came from o.O
So, I took down the gun, plopped in a M110 spring into it, everything was put together without a problem, but I'm left perplexed with these 2 parts that I have no clue where they belong. The spring I checked to make sure it wasn't from the anti-reversal lever, which it wasn't because that one was intact. I checked the the spring for the bolt release mechanism, which it wasn't because that's also intact, so what other spring might look like this and it's purpose?
Also, there is this funny nuke looking washer of sort, relatively small, 6mm in diameter, and very thin. Anyhow, any help would be much appreciated. It's possible these 2 parts came loose when I took apart the gearbox, not 100% sure. Update 1: I figured out what the nuke looking washing for, it's a non-essential thing that goes below the spring that latches on to the bolt release. Still need to figure out what that spring is that I've identified in the picture. Unlike other internals which were all lubricated and such, this spring is absolutely clean, no lubricant residue. The spring is something that goes in the gearbox. It is pure HELL to put in, I tried once and it simply broke on me. If I remember correctly, it goes between the case and some lever thing near the front of the case.

Hi Freeze, thanks for the comments. Just wondering, how exactly did it break on you?
Are your referring to the anti-reversal lever? If so, there is a spring there already (which looks exactly like the one in the pic - but slightly thinner). Last edited by Xtrykr; January 7th, 2012 at 00:35.. |

That spring is for your trigger assembly.
It's tricky to put in if you're doing it for the first time, so if you didn't observe how it came out, you might need a lot of help putting it back in (preferably from someone who can show you in person). The second piece looks like the retaining ring for a pin in a hopup or similar.

The jesus clip holds the mousetrap spring for the bolt catch in place.
The other one is a trigger spring. You want to put both back.

Anti-reversal spring is different. That's a trigger spring, and the other one might as well be a retaining washer on the opposite side of the gears on the hop up unit.

Mechanical safety spring and a hop-up friction washer.
