G&G MP5 front tube issues

Just picked up a G&G MP5A5 (Metal upper) from a friend and there are few issues but one annoying issue is the loose front tube. I took a look at the manual and it seems like its not secured with anything (unsure). Anyone have a G&G or similar like a CA that happened before? Advice on how to fix it?

The cocking tube is usually held in at the back by the upper receiver and at the front by the front sight assembly. It's not uncommon for plastic cocking tubes to be a little loose.

Acually, the cocking tube or however you call it is metal (not sure if it makes a difference?) Though, every time I pull back the charging handle, the tube itself protrudes from the upper. Any way to secure it though?

Ah, the cocking handle. That is a little loose on every MP5 I've ever seen.

Don't think I'm making it clear... its not the handle it self but the tube connecting to the upper that is loose. Here is a picture of the area that is loose.

I'm not 100% sure this is going to solve your issue, but right under the front sight on my G&G MP5 there is a circular plate that actually screws tight onto the cocking tube. Maybe tightening it will reduce the wobble on the other end where the tube meets the receiver, as in your picture.

What you're describing sounds like a misfit between a stock plastic piece and metal body. If the above suggestion doesn't work, you might try taking the cocking tube out and filling the gaps with electrical tape on the inside of the upper where you can't see it.

Well.. Case closed. I figured out the problem... the part holding the tube and the upper snapped :\. Dunno how or when... oh well.
