M14 Scout Squad?
I picked up an Echo1 M14 recently, and I've been wondering: does anyone make an 18" barrel (outer and inner) to fit a TM-pattern AEG? Specifically, what I'm thinking of is something to replicate the look of the Springfield M1A Scout Squad (or Brush Gun), or the Fulton Armory model of the same name. I've considered chopping it down with a Dremel, but I don't have the tools to re-thread the new muzzle.

Nope, the SOCOM is a bit shorter than what I'd want to go. I think it requires some kind of modification to the gas tube or the handguard.

you can cut it down from the back of the barrel. no need to thread anything, just measure out the length you want, chop it down and drill a new mounting hole. I've done this several times with my various m14s.
