KWA Glock19 slide jammed

Ok here's the problem. My glock fell out of my holster right into the sand this weekend :smack: I removed the slide and barrel to clean everything out but when I put the slide back on, it jammed. It's stuck pretty damn good, this thing ain't moving. This was my first time ever removing the slide. I know it's simple but i guess i'm not that bright. Anyways, if anyone could tell me how to get this damn thing off, it would be greatly appreciated. Better yet, if there's anyone in the Newmarket, Aurora, Richmond Hill area that could lend a hand, that would be great.

Here's some pics of my messed up glock.

It may be that the recoil spring guide wasn't properly seated when you put the slide back on. Try to see if you can move it into position with a pen or your fingernails.

Above, and if it's anything like the KSC G19, it'll have a rubber "guide" type thing on the spring guide. Put it on wrong, as in square side down, and that's exactly what happens, slide jams up good like that. Only way to fix it is to force the slide back off again. It's obviously a incorrectly placed spring guide though.

just a reminder... if you are going to "force" anything on your guns, do it slowly and carefully. While the KWA is only a $200 gun, you wouldnt want anything getting wrecked further.

Me and my Glock 19 are weeping for yours in sympathy- I hate seeing injured guns

I would try a rubber mallet to gently tap thae sucker back off...

Hope it works out for you.

From looking at the pictures, it appears that the trigger is locked back. Remember to re-cock the hammer before reinstalling the slide (when and if you can loosen it again) in order to re-install the slide.

Atcually I think the slide'll go back on no problem without it being cocked, but it should be cocked before releasing the slide to slide it off if it's not a spring guide problem.

thx for the advice guys. I've got a little movement in the slide now. In picture #1, notice that the slide is raised. This is preventing me from removing the slide because the slide is hitting the slide guide. I've narrowed the gap a little bit, almost there.

Yeah that happened to a friend of mine... Twice!

I don't know how he fixed it but he just says to be carefull when putting slide back on and before you do so you always should see if you have any loose parts such as recoil spring, barrel, etc. Make sure they all fit properly.

He managed to unjam the slide but it took a nice chip out of the rails, so dont put too much force on it.

Good Luck

If you have one of the plastic slides on it then you can just pry it off from one side. Did that when my G23f slide jammed, hardly left a scratch.
