Barrel Condoms?
Hey, another newb question here. At most (if not all) fields require your guns to have a barrell condom, I'm wondering if those come with the gun? (I havn't bought one yet but I will be doing it soon after I get a job) and if it doesn't how would I get one?
Thanks in advance |

Almost all paintball fields do. I've never seen one that came with an airsoft gun. Buy one at a paintball store/field you attend.

LOL I was wondering what to expect when I clicked the thread title.
Anyway, no they don't. Some come with a barrel cap, but it's quite uncommon and usually not accepted as these caps do not have a retainer.

don't use a sock, you come off looking like a retard. plus barrel condoms have a bungee that attaches to the back of the gun to keep it secured on.
fuck, safety first people.

Incorrect, paintball fields have these regulations to ensure everyone can meet insurance and for piece of mind when dealing with player safety, don't be a jerk off and cheap out. Besides, a barrel condom is only $5, do yourself a favor and buy one.

Would barrel plugs be acceptable?

Like mentionned earlier, they don't have retainers. Barrel plugs are only good to keep the dust out of your inner barrel.
When thinking safety, opt for a barrel condom and stick to that.

That being said, DO NOT rely on it as a safety... BBs can punch right through them some times.
ALWAYS remove mag/clear hop up chamber/put on safe. Add the barrel condom as a "Look! My gun's safe!" flag. |
