Xm8 , g36, m4

Hi everyone. I decided will be getting into airsoft.

i've spent about a week reading about ASC and shopping for a first gun...

You're probably sick of people asking you which gun to buy but here i am.

The weapon that got me attracted to airsoft while i was surfing, was the XM8. I got into this page http://www.starrainbow.com.tw/xr8_od.htm .
I then learned and read ( for about 2 days ) about the struggling of getting "replica-uncontrolled-366 FPS-etc." in Canada Even after days of search i didn't found a SRC or anyother retailer that carry M8 here.

I'm looking for a first all-round rifle short enought to carry multi-Role and even tought i could be happy whit an m4, i prefer guns based around H&K G (like the m8).

i'have been looking around for a full week and i narrowded my search to :

-King Arms M4A1 (metal) *most probable as of now but the barrels to long

-Echo1 STAG-15 Commando

-KWA M4 CQB

i haven't found an interesting G36 AEG in my price range (250-350Max)
but the WE-tech G39C GBBr really got my attention.

If you seen an M8 around, would be nice if post back. I also think KA does a M4a1 CQB/commando version but i havent seen any retaler whos got it

WE m4 aeg, cheap, you can unscrew the barrel to make it cqb and just add 300mm tightbore

If you get an xm8 get the gen 3s by src or tsd. And the only ones you will find in canada are kits for g36s and the odd here and there gen 2 all at pretty steep prices in the classifieds.

Get ''Age verified''

Look into these brand:

VFC, G&P, Classic Army, King Arms, Real Sword, Tokyo Marui

I would suggest a Marui compatible M4 for ease of maintenance and upgrades.

i haven't found a affordable G36 (under 300-350 +tx) outside Umarex/ares... thoses are any good ?

If the barrel is so easy to change, i'll probably go for a KA m4A1 metal and upgrade the barrel (and spring ? since the FPS is over 400).

No they are not. Don't touch anything else than the brand I stated and trust me I bought a bunch of guns in past several years...

Best starter AEG M4 within your price range are KA or G&P

VFC and CA (x-series) are slightly better but also pricier.

yes the umarex/ares g36's are good, i have 2 and they have never let me down. externally they are the best g36's ive handled (classic army are same quality externals).

from what ive heard, the ares g36's are their best model.

it really depends though, if you are looking into an xm8 kit for a g36 it will have to be a mauri or classic army. but if you aren't and just want to have a g36 go for ares or kwa ( both are licensed by umarex to the best of my knowledge but ares has a quick spring change).

and on that note i am not a fan of the king arms m4, the metal they use its pretty soft and ive heard a variety of issues about them.

all of this said though, i think before you buy any guns you should get out to a game and ask people if you can hold their guns and see which is the most comfortable and natural feeling to you... that way you dont follow our advice and get one that you dont like in the long run.

edit: i have also heard good things about the newest generation of JG g36's both externally and internally. they are also tm compatible which means an xm8 kit would work on them if you ever decide to change it.

The best G36 is a pre-Ares Star G36. If Ares Is well known for it's externals, but the internals are where to be concerned.

The King Arms M4 is a great place to start. $300-$500 for your first Airsoft gun is normal, that doesn't include the cost of maintenance, upgrades, accessories (like magazines, sights, etc). Spending less is asking for trouble. For the most part, avoid Umarex, Well, UTG, Mauser, Jing Gong, Echo 1, KJW, Cyma, A&K, D-Boys, Cybergun, Etc. Not all guns made by these companies are poorly designed, but they are best avoided.

If you have specific guns in mind, do thorough research. Even well thought of companies don't make the same gun equally well. Start yourself out on the right foot, and avoid the nightmares. Remember, Even the best guns will need some work to shoot true, and last. Start off with a good platform. A company that tries to make a solid product. Not a cheap piece of crap, or a clone. With the prices that are available today, there is no excuse to buy garbage.

If you want really detailed help, have access to better and interesting parts and guns, or just want to save some money and be economical; get yourself age verified.

King arms M4. Fully customizable, reliable great gun. Don't use it stock. I put an RAS, silencer , crane stock, and a tight ore barrel. It works great. Get it. And unless you have a good gundoc, avoid Chinese clones.
