Where to purchase TOY?
Okay so I currently can't get age verified because of the fact I am not 18 for another 23 days, so I can't purchase anything on this site, and I was just wondering where I can purchase some weapons, I own a spring action pistol but that wont get me far as I am thinking about joining a team in my area, and Canadian tire just cracks me up, So if you guys could give me suggestions on where to buy that would be awesome!
Thanks |

to the best of my knowledge places where "we" buy wont sell to someone unless they are 18 aswell, so for the next 23 days do all the research possible and narrow your selection down to the gun you want.
also if there are any games between now and then you should go out and ask people to hold their guns so you can see how they feel and what is right for you. last but not least, one of the forum rules is not to tell people who have not been age verified where to purchase airsoft guns, gear is cool but guns not so much. |

If you're from Mission then hit up FVAA/Fraser Valley Airsoft Assn. They'll get you sorted out. It's right in Mission on Burns Road.
As for where, can't tell you that just yet but if you contact an AV rep around your area and meet up with them they'll get it done for you and in like 3 weeks you can have a shiny user tag. Off the top of my head I believe it's Kampfer and Optix in Richmond and White_Knight in Coquitlam/PoCo area.

Oh yeah, also thanks for actually including a location so that someone local-ish to you could direct you to where you need to go (believe it or not, most people don't' include a location so it's hard for use to direct them to local resources, mainly because this is more of a national forum and there's smaller regional forums like Op-For/BCAC in Lower Mainland, JOC in Calgary, MAA for Manitoba etc.). The FVAA/BigFoot Games website is right here:

Would be a good idea to get AVd now so that you can get processed sooner (still would be minimum 23 days).

So even if I am 17 I can still put in a request, considering it's so close to my birthday? Also FVAA is Bigfoot right? (haha just saw your post after I posted this about Bigfoot).

Not a very good idea... I would suggest you to contact your local A'V'er now, arrange a meeting, and meet them. (This would probably take more than 23 days, so ask them now is not too early. )

I initiated contacting my AV rep a couple days before my birthday, you still have to get organized and make a meeting that works for both your schedules so make one for your Birthday and it can get done.
Also with Optix you have to go to him in Richmond (8080 Anderson Rd. Right across the street from Richmond city hall/Richmond Mall and a couple blocks away from the Sky Train Station).

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

BC Transit is phenomenal; you should be able to do a round trip in an afternoon. Anyways, an AV'er may be able to meet you before hand, and then wait to submit your info for AV status (their choice.). Remember to bring "government issue photo ID", without it there is no AV.

I note the passive-aggressive title change made for this thread. You may consider these TOYs.. and to a certain degree they are, but that isn't their legal status, and in the wrong hands, they certainly won't be treated as toys by police, until proven otherwise and after the fact. Hence the reason for the over 18/age of responsibility restrictions. 23 days is not all that much time. Getting an age verification done is not a lot of hassle. Edit: i note one other thread has been title changed to "TOY" .. so it might not be the OP changing the thread title, but an admin playing games with the word filters. You wouldn't know this unless you lived in the GVRD/Metro Van but basically the most active AV reps are in Richmond which is about an hour and a half drive from Mission (worse if there's traffic). There is a field in Mission (BigFoot Games) which is pretty much in his backyard seeing as it's actually in Mission. AFAIK BigFoot doesn't usually have any active reps who attend games there, most play in Surrey at Panther Paintball, which again driving is about an hour from Mission (worse if there's traffic, because you have to cross a bridge).

A thread titled "where to purchase weapons".
"A weapon is an instrument of offensive or defensive combat: something to fight with: something (as a club, sword, gun, or grenade) used in destroying, defeating, or physically injuring an enemy. "(The word) weapon applies to anything used or usable in injuring, destroying, or defeating an enemy or opponent. "A weapon is also an instrument used or designed to be used to injure or kill someone." I don't think that this is what the OP was implying. In a juvenile way weapon sound cool but in a grown up world weapons are serious business. Please try to use your words. Airsoft the game is where player / hobbyist gather and challenge each others skills, play honestly and enjoy Comradery and modern re-enacting. Its not our intention to kill injure defeat or destroy an enemy. Welcome to ASC. Last edited by Armyissue; December 5th, 2012 at 23:35.. |
