picking mid caps

i am about to place an order with a retailer and had a question regarding mid caps. After some reviews I have narrowed it down to King Arms 120 rd m4 box set or Mag 100 rnd m4 box set. The cost is close so that is not too big of an issue. When i spoke with the retailer they had told me that KA mid caps have had some problems feeding into VFC guns. And that I would be better off to go with MAG.

Just wanted to hear from you guys if you have tried the KA mags in a VFC body and how well or bad they performed.

Sorry, not exactly what you are asking, but have you checked out Magpul PTS p-mags? I wish I bought them first rather than trying a bunch. They work flawlessly for me in my G&G, KA, and KWA guns.

Not to be a broken record I have G&P mags for sale, check the Parts and Accessories section for my thread.

If you want new though MAG is in my opinion the better of the two. They feed great and I've seen them feed 30+ RPS setups, the main spring in the channel is actually surprisingly strong that it gets hard to load the last few BB's when it's full up and the spring isn't fully broken in yet.

thanks for the responses gents. L473ncy I do remember you telling me about your mags. Will you be coming back to Vancouver anytime soon? I am more of a face to face dealings kind of guy, no offense.

Not until summer and even then I might be in Calgary or Ft. Mac or whatever. But yeah, go with the MAG mags.

You used to get a better quality, and more robust magazine from low cap AEG magazines; maybe that has changed. This is the first time I've also ever heard of MAG being good, King Arms has been the standard of quality and inexpensive aftermarket magazines for years. I do believe the King Arms magazines where slightly larger to keep up tolerance, and to minimize wiggle; this could be why they do not fit well in VFC platforms.

Magpul PTS Pmags are the only type of mags i use now. they are amazing work well with every gun I've ever owned with no issues. also they are durable enough to be abused with dropping and throwing. Never had a single issue with them. They are well worth the money, trust me :P

May I hijack the thread for a question somehow related ? I'm having a hard time finding Magpul PTS PMAG 30G (for G36). I either find one or two in stock at each retailer, or it's out of stock.

I was considering ordering from overseas, but will they pass the customs? They do have ''fake'' cartridges in them:

Thanks?

No they wont pass, the laws say you can't import mags with fake bullet in it (like g36, SG553 mags) :|

boogiebot, I run a VFC Mk12 and I have metal KA magazines that feed flawlessly. My plastic KA magazines do have a bit of wobble to them but still feed none the less.

Try here for G36 magazines ....

Thanks R.T! I ended up getting a box of of MAG (8 pack). But its good to know that there are more options.

in regards to K3vX post, does that mean that you can import mags that are just plain looking mags no fake bullets on them??

Yes you can import all the mags that does not show fake bullet in them. i've checked when I wanted to buy KRISS Vector mags (because here they're sometimes 100$ buck each VS 40$ in the U.S.).

You can, but with shipping charges you're better ordering a lot of stuff at once, or the price is better in country.

I'm looking overseas because Canada can't provide me with what I'm looking.
