WE vs TM Glock 18c
Hi everyone.
I'm obviously new to forum, so nice to be here! This a very newbie question so I thought I would try to post it here as I can't seem to find a clear answer to it. I am looking to buy a Glock 18c Airsoft GBB pistol. From all I have read, the top 2 contenders are: Tokyo Marui Glock 18c WE Glock 18c The Pluses so far for the WE is the much lower price and fact that it comes with a metal slide and outer barrel and the materials used have been reviewed well. About $250 for all that seems great. The Minuses I can see is that WE does not have the Glock markings on the slide or the base. For the TM the pluses are the "reputation" of being the best. The Minuses are that fact that it is all plastic and cost $300+. If I add in the metal slide and barrel upgrade plus recoil spring, I am looking at $450+ total! I have read good things about the WE Gen4 Glocks, but I have yet to see a head to head comparison of the 2 guns. If in the end the internals are comparable and the durability is about the same. Then it would just come down to paying for the official Glock markings? $200+ is big difference. What is the prevailing opinion? Any Help appreciated! All the best |

I found the WE Tech version felt like a toy. Didn't like it at all. But I haven't tried the TM version, maybe someone else can chime in as well.

I'd go check it out yourself though. You personally may like it. I find these sort o things are very subjective.

Well reputations aren't built out of nothing. Whenever you buy Tokyo Marui, you will always get a quality product. AEGs and/or GBBs. Yes the slide is plastic but it's high quality plastic and they feel great. They shoot straight and are very reliable.
If you can afford a TM, get one. |

Thanks a lot.
Have you had the chance to shoot both guns? |

No, not with WE. I have 2 TM (1 GBB and 1 AEG) and both are wonderful, I also used to have 2 KJW glock and you can really tell the difference between the quality of a lesser, yet acceptable brand like KJW and Tokyo Marui.

Definitely TM over WE any day. KSC IMO makes the second best glocks on the market.
I would consider KSC long before WE. Glock 17>18 TM - better hop-up design = more accurate/better range - more aftermarket parts available - stock plastic slide is "oversized" = can have issues fitting in unmodified plastic holsters e.g. Serpa - more expensive if you want metal slide KSC - stock metal slide - stock 1:1 dimensions - better trades - better than WE Last edited by Kozzie; February 18th, 2013 at 12:48.. |

Great! Thanks so much for the advice.
Do you know a supplier for KSC Glock 18c Gen 4 in Canada? And is the KSC compatible with TM after market upgrades? Also one more question. I have read that there are some issued with the KSC rate of fire selector switch. Don't know if this is true but someone said that it can fall out and you can't change rate of fire without the slide being a particular position and you can't change on the fly. Thanks very much again! |

I have handled and worked with both WE and TM G18c. The TM is by far much better, even tho the WE comes with metal slide and outer barrel, it's cheap pot metal that scratches easily. The TM although plastic slide has a plethora of upgrade parts, more reliable and consistent.

EDIT: They carry the WE Tech models not the others though as far as I know. Maybe turok_t can verify that. |

Due to the use of low grade pot metal, WE guns often break much earlier than you expect Vs other brands and has let down many excited players.
They are cheap and feel great at the first glance but this good factors are often totally offset by the disappointment they bring to you later. TM, like other airsoft guns will break but only after a much longer use. |

Im suprised a certian someone hasnt chimed in about the MAJOR flaw in the WE design that results in a broken loading nozzle regardless how many times you replace it.....
There is a fix...but I still say they're complete and utter shit. Look in the doctor section of the forum for all the details. I can't be bothered to tell every new memeber the same thing over and over again. Buy cheep buy twice. |

If you aren't already aware, VFC just released a Glock as well with the all trades. I am getting that one for sure over a WE or KSC.
