ICS C15 (M4) jamming problem
I have a ics c15 basically an M4 but ya everytime I try to shoot it it will shoot 2 or 3 bbs then a couple will just fall out of the barrel then it jams so I take the clip out and a few bbs will fall out but there will be one still in the hop up (you can see if through the feed tube) If I hold the trigger long enough it will eventually clear but I normally just use the jamming rod to get it out..... I have taken the hop up out and made sure everything is clean but I really dont know what I am doing so I havent taken the hop up apart yet... Has anyone had this problem? Also Semi isnt working at all... it just clicks when i pull the trigger... I searched the forum for answers but couldnt find any....
Kinda mad over this... this gun is fairly new.... maybe this is just an excuse to totally upgrade? Is there anyone in the pembroke area who works on AEGs? |

How high is the hop up turned up?
what kind of bb's are you using? is the spring that sits in front of the hop up still there? it could be a few things, im not sure how good that stock hop units are on ics's here is a hop up video How to dismount an Hop Up M4/M16 - YouTube you dont have to fully dissasemble you can just pop off the c clip and slide the barrel and rubber out for less bits to mess with just hold the unit with the top down so the nub doesnt fall out

First of all, get quality BB's. Do not buy those sad excuses for BB's from Crappy Tire or Wally World. Those are good only if you want your gun to malfunction, or to use in M203 shower shells.

Where do you live that will help us direct you to bb's.
There may be nothin wrong with the hop up besides gunk build up from tue bios (they are oily and leave residue) Buy bb bastards, mad bull, ksc perfects or other quality bb's never use crappy tire bbs they are junk even there "high quality" bbs are sub par. Take the hop up apart and clean the rubber with warm soapy water and let it dry out. Inspect it for tears and such if it looks good reinstall it tho the seams on crappy tire bbs may have ripped it. If your in the gta go to toronto arisoft army, issue surplus or order from airsoftparts.ca. If you dont have to use bios (like the field requires them) then dont they are not the best for your rubber and barrel as they leave oily residue and alot of em arent as perfect ad regular bbs. Also you can order online from bbbastard or TA or airsoft parts. Throw those bbs you have away or use em in crappy springer guns or grenades but id say just toss em bbs are cheap and are most likely to damage your gun if you use crappy ones Here is what crappy bbs can and will do to your gun your lucky its just hop up issues http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/GoodBBs.aspx

should i buy .25s or are .20 fine

Depends on where you are playing.
.20 is good for indoors. .25 or .28's are good for outdoors - heavier weights behave a little better against wind/breezes in maintaining straight course momentum. |

.2 are fine for indoor nd target shooting.
whats the velocity of the gun, if its 400ish id say .28 or .30 depending how good the hop up is. i run .30 in all my guns .28 when i have to use bios. just so you know sayin its not the bbs cause u used em from the begining its cause the hop rubber issue happens over time as it becomes messed up

ya i relieze what people are sayin now.. the shitty bbs cause premature wear ... hopefully its nothing serious... and i think its shooting 370-400 (thats what i saw on a review video of the gun)

well i charged and tried the new battery today and that was exactly my problem... the gun shoots twice as fast with this new battery and its the exact same as the old one... 8.4 1600
I took the hop up apart today and the rubber looked perfect to me... so i dunno maybe i fixed it just by taking it apart and putting it back together or the battery did it... but ietehr way I am shooting again!! now i just gotta get some good bbs and i will be laughing! thanks for the help everyone! |
