TM piston after 60.000 round's using a 1 joule systema spring sitting at 270fps using 0.25 BB.

Not bad. How does TM quality compare to Cyma, Jing kong or those other chinasoft clones?

Their "quality" is top notch as far as tolerences and the like but the "strength" is a lil low due to their fps laws and such sort of like their metal bodies they are near perfect in fit and finnish bit the strength leaves a lil to be desired.
Ill use the example of the spring guide in a vsr10 i got a vsr pre upgraded for import to 400fps and the retailer tested it for me. The seccond shot the guide snapped in half 389fps to be exact.
To compare i ran a tsd sd700 (vsr clone) at 512fps on the stock spring guide for 4 years without issue tho the tm one looks nicer (has a smoother whiter finish to it) the yellowish rough feeling tsd one was far stronger for low fps say sub 320 id say tm parts all the way otherwise u beter swap gears and pistons out of a tm for 350plus and save havin to open the gearbox twice.

A teammates G&P piston back in 2011. Lasted maybe 300 rounds brand new?

The opposite extreme, I've seen a G&P piston last over 200,000 rounds without breaking! But of course that doesn't mean crap lol
Seen them fail (on average) anywhere from 12,000 to 40,000 rounds. Most common
cause of failure is breaking off first tooth. I think I've only ever seen one get stripped.

Seen two CA pistons, broken out of box. Heard of them lasting anywhere between a mag and 3 years. Typically around one season for average, most common failure being first tooth breaking off.

Marui pistons. Left stock? Indestructible. Most common cause of failure is stripped teeth, in both stock and higher fps. Nylon has excellent shock absorbancy, but because it's not very hard it tends to wear impact grooves which eventually strip it.

my old prometheus piston from my 249, around 180-220,000, survived being half engaged twice too (my own fault playing with the triggermaster settings)
I believe for prommy, they strip. Due to being made of hard POM, the first tooth tends to wear an impact groove that then alters engagement with the next tooth. So removing the second tooth is very beneficial.

new system supercore piston probably up to around 90,000 and still going strong!
Most common point of failure would most likely be the back breaking off, but I'm not sure. Surprisingly VERY durable for a polycarbonate piston, most likely due to it's prometheus style heavily reinforced first tooth.

I know, it's weird. I havent touched the gearbox in my G&P M63 and it's holding up fine, pushing 50k rounds through it now. Even the G&P gears are holding up.

I have not done a long term test on any CA pistons... but I just did an AoE adjustment on my AUG and left the stock CA piston in there, I plan on running it till it breaks to see how long it actually lasts.
