barrel/hop up problem M4 platform
I'm having a weird problem with my 416. It has a 2 piece hop up.
When I snug the barrel nut up all the way the gun does not shoot, the bb's just fill up the inner barrel, and then roll out. If I loosen the barrel nut one half turn the gun shoots great but the barrel is then noticably loose... when the barrel nut is off and the inner is in the outer and the outer barrel is in the upper reciever there is an allen key set screw that that puts pressure on the hop up unit where the barrel enters it, I'm guessing to keep it in place... Do I just need to find the "sweet spot" for where I should secure the hop unit? I played with it for quite a while and the only way I can get it to fire is with the barrel nut slightly loosened. Any help/tips are, as always, greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming no one has come across this system before. I'll try to give more info.
The gun is an AGM 614. It has a 2 piece hop up with a 290ish mm inner barrel. Like I said previously, there is an Allen key set screw threaded into the outer barrel from the top that then gets covered by the barrel nut, this set screw then puts pressure on the hop up right where the inner barrel enters the hop up. Tightening this screw secures the inner barrel inside the outer barrel, and keeps the hop up, I'm guessing where you want it. If you do not tighten this screw, the upper receiver does not slide all the way on the lower.. This is all the info I can think of to give... Please help... Thank you

The hop up doesnt have a spring on the top that meets up with the upper/outer?

I never ran into that problem, but I've already heard of outer barrel shimming, this way the outer barrel is getting tightened by the delta ring but doesn't overpush the inner barrel towards the gearbox.

The spring will keep the hop up pished back to the nozzle just leave the slgrub screw out as long as the delta holds the outter barrel on.

click on^^that thing
insert the web adress and youll get an image like below Looks like a 416 front end (love me some 416 goodness lol) the screw that your sayin goes into the the outter barrel to hold the inner in place isnt needed if you have the spring on the hop up unit. the sprin g will keep the hop up in place so it can load bbs and return back to the nozzle. 2 of my 3 416's seccond one is mah gbbr

says your photos are not available to the public. Just look at the photo then click on it so it opens in its own window just the image not including the hosting website (or right click and view image) then copy that link into the box provided after clicking on the yellow box thing up top EDIT. see on the hosting site it says get embeded code in blue, click on that. then copy the BBCode link itll be [IMG] somethingsomething [img] without spaces and whatnot just copy and paste that directly and you will get the image like so
