kwc p226 repair?
So basicaly I just found my old KWC P226 springer airsoft pistol in box full of random stuff. I tried firing it and it did fire but has lost alot of power. Everything in it is intact exept the mag release and some parts in the mag that I needed to change. Whenever I cock the gun the slide dosent go back foward. So at this point knowing noting about airsofts, I put wd-40 in the piston thinking it might be the answer to the guns probem (I figuered that the rubber in the piston was making to much friction inside the tube.), but I soon found out that it made it worst...
So my question is, is there anything I can do to get this gun working properly again? |

WD-40 + rubber = not good

Like JDoorn said, the WD-40 may have eaten the oring on your piston.
The place you'll want to put WD-40 is probably along your slide - though, I don't know how far apart you can pull that particular springer. It would probably be cheaper and easier to just buy a new springer, rather than buy replacement parts and try get them into it. |

you can take the side down down pretty much like a gas-operated pistol. But do you think theres pherhaps some sort of lube I can put in there?

Ah, if you can take off the slide, you'll definitely want to lube the slide. Here's a post with pictures (and information on grease and oil) on how to maintain a gas blowback pistol.
http://www.airsoftretreat.com/forums...?topic=62532.0 Greasing the slide is the same idea as what's in the post. |

I don't think he needs a GBBP maintenance manual for his spring P226...
