TM G26 with HFC Metal Slide
I recently bought a G26 used with a broken plastic slide, I heard that the HFC G26 slide works on the gun so I ordered that to replace the busted stock one. It fits on the gun fine but the gun won't cycle, it will go all the way back but won't come back forward or it just comes back part way. There are 3 positions where it seems to get stuck (photos attached). Part of the front of the slide seemed to be pushing on the plastic so I grinded it down a bit but it still gets stuck when returning to regular position. Anyone know what else could be catching it or what I should grind down to make it return properly?

Could be alot of things.
The trigger bar, the disconnector, the hammer, even the outerbarrel. One of the things you need to look at is how close the the BBU is sitting on the railings on the slide. If it's too tight, the slide will not function properly. and it will become the way you describe.... I say, take it to your local gun doc and see what he finds.

Seems to be clearing everything on the front of the gun fine all the way back to the hammer assembly. You're probably right about it being stuck on one or more of those pieces though. I was really just hoping someone who had done this before may be able to point me in the right direction.

The BBU might be crimping to the slide rails preventing a full and smooth cycle. Make sure the BBU is flush to the slot where the lower rails goes on to...

So I had an idea today. I have a G26 and a G26 Advance, so today I decided to swap slides and just see if the HFC slide faired better on the Advance. As it turns out it does great! Works like a charm on the advance and I moved my metal slide from the advance to the regular g26. Seems weird to me that it worked on one but not the other but I'll take it. Two working glocks is better than 1. (technically I have 5 glocks, but you get the point)
