(GBBR) Shitty King Arms bolt catch and bolt carrier
So I've had a KA M4 GBBR for a while, put a different rail and barrel etc on it. However I've never used it since it had some hopup issues (which I think I've resolved by putting the original inner barrel back in) and the bolt catch and bolt carrier where it catches wears down after about 3 magazines.
I've filed it straight again, but it's such shitty metal that it just wears round again and slips, so that it doesn't catch on an empty mag. Do I need an aftermarket WA/G&P steel bolt catch and carrier? Or will a standard G&P one hold up fine? Don't know if the stock G&P ones are crap metal too, or actual stand up to wear. Help? |

G&P stock one can withstand the wear more than a KA one.
Inside my KA, I had an inokatsu carrier and AABB bolt stop, although AABB is not the best of all brands, that part is cheap enough and so readily availible at EBairsoft that I just buy a few and use them out, they also work wonders in Daytona Gun builds too also, If you are using KA magazines, they will only feed if you have a KA nozzle/ bolt, changing to a G&P bolt may effect your feeding. And a KA nozzle is not cross compatible with a G&P bolt carrier?

IRC, the carrier is different by a fraction of a milimeter, and it will make the nozzle sit either higher or lower, this was like 2 years ago when I found this out, it results in feeding issues.
