Maruzen P99 - Video Request from Owners
Hey!
I used to own a P99, then sold it. Regretted it. So I bought a broken one to fix up. Problem is, I can't figure out two things: 1) Why the slide is NOT going back on easily. 2) Why the trigger won't work in double action. I've had this baby apart down to the springs and can't seem to find anything missing. I suspect the problem is the bar that runs from the trigger to the hammer but I can't find any close up photos of it (or even better, video of correct operation). What I'm looking for is a close up video of the trigger being pulled with the slide off. Can any P99 owners help out a fellow enthusiast?

I heard replacement parts for the Maruzen P99 are quite hard to find.

I'm not actually sure anything needs to be replaced. Something just may have been put together wrong and I don't have any visibility to what a correct assembly is.
Once I can identify what's different between my P99 and a working one, I'll have some place to start trying solutions.

Warfare Paintball on Tomken near Matheson in Mississauga had a new one in their shop for sale the last time I checked (albeit months ago). Perhaps you can drop by and ask to take a look at it?

If you can make it out to York University area, I can take a look and tell you how it should work. Sounds to me like a few things is wrong with the trigger assembly and you're probably just misaligned the recoil guide wrong when putting the slide back on: a lot of pistols do that- Deagles, M9, P99 I'm sure is very simular in that way having played with P99 springers a lot.
