Yea I have a question. Does that actually work? Wont you end up with 22 volts and 50c or something going into your gun?

Nope, it's wiring in parallel. You'd have to wire in series to get 22V.

Aren't they too long to fit in standard crane stocks

Should be a tight squeeze but doable I suppose. I'd make sure the internal resistances across the 6 individual cells to be very close although.

I'm asking because I've thought of te same thing, but those batteries are way too long to fit in my crane stock. I've only found much lower discharge 11.1s that would fit.

Never mind, I just realized my batteries are the 1300 mAh and are slightly larger.

Yeah the 1300mah ones are the same width and height but a bit longer.

You could probably get them into the crane stock provided you use large gauged (small diameter) wires. But I doubt you will get your stock (depends which type too I guess) to be at the lowest setting while the battery is in because those lipos will be too long. Maybe on the first extended setting. I know for a magpul CTR stock, which is a shorter lengthed stock, you can't fit many types of lipos in there and have the stock on the shortest setting.

No, if you put the 1300mah lipos in the side tube of the crane stock, it sticks out about an inch when it's resting on the plug. Doesn't matter what setting it's on.

Yeah, if you're running a crane stock the extra compartments may have space for it. Again depends on the stock but a magpul CTR for example, you'd have trouble getting it to lowest setting because most 1200mAh lipos stick out just a hair, at least with my buffer tube and the internal buffer tube plug depth. Other brand's buffer tubes may differ. A crane stock is also a little bit longer than a magpul ctr stock.
I either use my specially purposed buffer tube lipo, which is only 1000mAh and small and short, or if I run a slightly bigger 1200mAh lipo, it sticks out of the buffer tube. ANd since the magpul CTR is short and extends not much more than the length of a standard buffer tube, i'd have to use it at first extension setting when running a larger capacity lipo. |

I'm not sure if you see what's going on here.

I had a crane stock designed to hold airsoft nunchuck batteries with access from the back and have RS equivalent where you can only open the compartments from the front tabs and would have to drill out the back to put battery leads in.
I also have lipos that are too long to fit inside the compartments of that crane stock. Certainly the RS crane stocks, those compartments are often designed to hold CR123A batteries, and hence slightly larger diameter than a CR123A battery (slightly >16.5mm) would be all the space you have. With a 1200mAh lipo I have running 18.6mm corner to corner, no you can't get that into a RS crane stock compartment without mods. I also have a magpul CTR stock that is shorter and cannot fit even most standard 1200mAh lipos without going to first extension setting and obviously I'd have to fit the battery in the buffer tube. Its pretty obvious youre trying to do your own nunchuck styled lipo and trying to rig it into your crane stock compartments. For RS crane stocks I don't think you'd be able to without mods. Maybe if you get a Dboy's crane stock designed for airsoft you could get away with it. Anyway whatever. I know my lipos don't fit in a RS crane stock compartment and I also can't run my 1200mAh lipos inside my buffer tube when Im running my magpul CTR stock or a RS crane stock. those batteries might be a very tight squeeze into the side pods of a crane stock. They'll probably fit but I would be hesitant to take them out and put them back in repeatedly.
I've had a few clients parallel 7.4s in their m4s because I worry about overdrawing some of those tiny batteries.

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

I've seen it work several times on a standard crane stock. By standard size, I meant like the ones that come with a Systema. I believe G&P make after market ones that are the same size, also there is real steel. Magpul and other stylized rear stocks are generally too slender to fit even a 1200 mah, stick lipo. The only issue I have seen is that you "may" not be able to draw your crane stock in all the way. You lose that last click on the buffer tube. Also, the batteries fit in there nicely, so it wasn't a tight fit or anything.
