Full stock with crane stock receiver

Hey guys,
Most of my guns have been modded or bought with the rear stock mount cut down and modded for a Crane type rear battery wiring. I'm thinking of doing an SPR/Mk12 build, and I haven't decided if I'll do full or collapsing stock with it yet. I'm wondering how well a plastic full stock will work on the cut down stock post if the body I use has been modified for the Crane rear wiring. I have a feeling it may be a bit wobbly, but I could be wrong. Anyone have any experience?

Depends on the dimensions of the stock tube and the stock itself. If they are snug enough, you should be okay. Still not ideal though.

The recevier prong is only there for positionnement and prevent rotation.

The stock is actually screwed into the mechbox, more precisely in the spring guide. That is what hold the stock in place (and wobbly stocks are usually just not tight).

I'm actually doing this exact build right now and I'm also turn between the full or crane stock on it. Right now I'm liking the full stock just for stability and battery space (running a 7.4v 3300Mah lipo for now)
but the crane stock has caught my eye for looks and will still allow me to use 2 stick types in the battery compartments. My stock was a tad wobbly when I did the mock up build on, i solved it with a stripe of electrical tape running the length of the tube on the left and right sides of the buffer tube. Its a beauty snug fit and still ease of adjustment.

Awesome, thanks guys. I think I'll go with the pre modded body with the full stock, at least that way if i change to a Crane down the road it's already set up, and hopefully the full stock is solid enough.
