TM 5.1 safety question

Hey guys... Preparing to swap the mid frame on my TM 5.1 Hi Capa, but when I took the stock double safety apart, they don't stay together when assembled again. The left side safety (for right hand shooting) work ok mostly, but the left side won't. It's due to the press fit being broken I guess, so it's not staying together enough to actually engage. Is there a fix to this?

If not, how do after market safeties get installed and made to stay together? I can't imagine that everyone has to take it to get press fit.
