butane

is it possible to use butane in a gbb if u put silicone oil in it? because it works the same way as the green gas can, and i sprayed it on the ground and it froze just like duster gas

Butane is, I believe, at a considerably higher pressure than propane or duster, therefore if you were to use it in a GBB, it would have to be one hell of a pistol; i.e. a finely tuned WA infinity type, of course with metal slide and many other upgrades.

Because of the differences in boiling points, Butane is stored at a much lower pressure than propane. I suspect that it would not be a good alternative to use in a GBB.

Butane is a bastard gas!

Stop saying, thinking or buying "green gas" and get yourself a propane adaptor and stop being a sucker.

CT and HD arn't your only places if it is a major city. You need to try a hobby shop. And if you were to use butane, you'd still be needing that silicone anyway. Use that Canadian retailers tab at the top, click the first link, get yourself a propane adaptor and silicone right from there.

butane exerts about 40psi at room temp whereas propane exerts 115psi.

I also carry silicone oil.

works perfect for the first twenty or so shots in my stubby hi-capa
The following thirty it seemed to have decrese in pressure and as a result, failed to press the loading nozzle all the way back.
It did however manage to press the hammer back every time allowing dryfire
It'll probably work fine in shorter gbb's (glock26 4.3 hicap etc)

Nooooooooooo.
Use duster, Alex. Butane is very poor performance.

How about you try to read the FAQ? There's lots of information on GBB, gas to use, etc, instead of asking us to repeat it for you?

PS, you are 16, and that is another set of problems you should read about.
