New airsoft player here
Hey folks, my name is Rich and I'm getting into airsoft starting in the next season. I used to play paintball religiously but quit for a number of reasons. The primary being that it's a fashion sport now, secondary being nobody here plays in the woods anymore and tertiary.. it's extremely expensive to play.
So I did a little research and a friend from a local car-club forum opened me up to airsoft. Chris. P, don't know what his name is on here. So I am thinking airsoft offers everything I wanted but couldn't get out of PB. I should have my first rifle, the new M14, coming in the mail soon and can't wait to up it a little bit as the upgrades are released and have a blast playing. Looking forward to chatting with you all. |

Welcome to the forums, My only advice is play a good 5-10 games with a stock gun, You'll soon discover your own playing style.
Have fun, just remember NEVER take your guns outside in public/ect. You can get SHOT DEAD. Only play with them in your basement/out of sight or at a designated field. Cheers. |

Thanks for the welcome. I found my playing style in paintball, sadly the sport didn't offer the effective range to play it but maybe that'll change now.

while I have a thread going, does anyone know if it's feasible to annodize metal bodies? I have an M14 coming but would like to have it annodized in both flat and light gloss black on different parts.

If you have questions about other aspects of airsoft, like Upgrades and Modifications, please use the right section of the forum?
Heck, your answers are probably already there if you use the Search option. Yes, there are threads about treating metal. |

Hey Rich, come on over to the Sask Forums linked through the community drop down at the top of the page, or over to our team site http://southsaskmercenaries.com to find some local players in your area.
We'll be willing to answer question and such there, but the best thing to do before asking questions is reading the FAQ's here on ASC. |
