FIXED - Jammed WA 1911 single stack

Hi everyone,

I recently discovered this problem upon pulling out my gas pistol after about a month of storage in its box.

I have a Western Arms 1911 single stacker, Shibuya Custom Shop (pre "SCW").

When the trigger is pulled, it reaches maybe halfway through its cycle, then the slide gets stuck and the magazine expels all remaining gas. The loading muzzle remains stuck in the chamber, and it takes a good solid bump on the back of the slide to get the whole system unjammed.

This is happening every time the trigger is pulled. I'm hoping someone else might have encountered this before. I've oiled everything in hopes that it was just sticking from dryness, but it's still jamming the same way. I've never replaced the hammer spring, or anything in the lower reciever...I'm wondering if it's something there.

I took pictures of it in mid-jam. Please have a look and if you can contribute to the cause, it would be greatly appreciated. High resolution pictures are available at http://members.airsoftcanada.com/tre...Jammed%201911/

Thanks in advance guys.

the problem is mainly caused by your metal G&G chamber. i don't think u ever tried shooting it with gas before storing it right? you need to sand off some material either from your chamber or slide for it to cycle properly. i have had major problems with Guarder chambers.

It's not the chamber...I tried swapping the chamber with a stock plastic WA chamber and it still jams.

(that was the first thing I tried btw)

Thanks though!

Ok, I figured it out...my loading muzzle was getting jammed in the breech because the whole inside of the breech dried out.

I used a q-tip to get the gunk out, then used a clean q-tip covered in 70 wt silicone oil to coat the insides of the breech, and the tail end of the muzzle.

Worked the system in a bit, reassembled it and now it's fine. Perhaps this could be added to the gas gun solutions section?
