Tips for attacking a hallway.

Hi,
I've played a few indoor CQB games now, and I'm looking for some tips on how to attack.

We often play "Attack and Defend", where the objective is for one team to attack an area occupied by the defending team.
Now, the area that the defending team occupies has two entrances via long hallways. So there's always two guys at least, defending one hallway. How are you supposed to attack something like that? The defenders rarely expose anything that you can shoot, an arm if your lucky...

From my experience at the Laser Trek arena, the best way to attack it is to just wait, really. Someone is bound to make a mistake eventually and it's the attackers job to exploit it. If you get bored of waiting then you can just storm it as well but you have to be prepared to lose 2 - 3 guys first.

heh.
so it pretty much sounds like a stale-mate...

Actually flash-bangs would be useful, but I'm not sure my fellow players will take too kindly on those...

If it's a hallway: 5 man team (breach team) Alpha team (2), Bravo team (2), leader (1)

Deployment:
Alpha will breach and take kneeling positions on either side of the hallway, giving enough space for Bravo and Lead to deploy into the hallway.

Bravo will take a standing postion behind Alpha. Leader will usually float behind A,B to have a good view of the battle and to direct troops and their fields of fire.

Movement:
Alpha will cover Bravo by taking a standing stance and providing covering fire as Bravo moves up in Kneeling stance to avoid friendly fire.

You can leapfrog up the hallway doing this.

If there is doorways and rooms that need to be cleared, the forward element would do such, with the rear elements (lead and which ever team) would cover the hallway.

You can do this with largers groups as well, but it would be best to leave the breach teams in groups of 5 for sake of overall room purposes. Stacking too many people in a hallway can be disasterous if enemy 'nades are employed.

timing is key, and room clearing will determine your success in assaulting.

Square off against the hallway, make like you're going to attack, then point out the hallway's shoes are untied.

When it bends over to look, kick it in the face.

Then take its wallet and run.
