Yes you can put LEPG RIS onto an AEG?
Backstory:
I was in the states over the summer and got dragged along to an anime convention. :shudders: I went to the dealers room to kill some time and was hoping for some hilarious and wacky shit. Instead I came upon a tonne of LEPGs going at prices like $30 for a WELL M4 RIS. I figured that I'd buy it just for the instresting stock that it came with (the butt stock was slanted at the back). Well then I noticed that the RIS front should fit on my TM M4. Well I bought it and took the RIS and Stock, along with the stupid accessories (red cross scope, RIS vert grip, Fake Lam unit) and chucked the gun. So I got back to Canada. Had the pieces lying around and I finally got around to putting it on my TM M4. The sliding stock: I removed the TM stock easily. However the LEPG stock didn't fit perfectly and so I had to sand the insides to get it to fit. I just took some sand paper. Wrapped it around a paint stirrer and went to work sanding it. I got it to fit perfectly and slides nicely. Eventhough, it took a good hour of sanding. The LAZY WAY of putting on the RIS front end (cable ties): I stared with cable ties just to see if it fits and everything. I had around 5* of movement to either left or right with the Cable ties. The RIGHT WAY of putting on the RIS front end and costly too!!!!!!! Well if you're thinking that hey...it should be easy and cheap...think again. It requires something similar to a Nitro rail or whatever Dirty Deeds sold me. Basically its a real that extends from the RIS to the flattop of the M4 You have to completely sand off the top of the RIS. Make it as smooth as possible get rid of any bumps. Then go to the local hardware store and get nuts, bolts, and washers. Some drilling is required to get the right holes to match up to the RIS with the top rail. Put the washers and nuts on the inside of the RIS...its pretty much common sense from there. The bottom will snap onto the Top part of the RIS and that's pretty much it. I'll get pics soon. ***Yes its poor quality but hey...it works. Does the plastic flex? Not really at least I don't notice that it flexes. Its an alternative for an RIS front end and keeps life intresting.
