G&P mechbox and no auto fire

I just replaced my version 2 mechbox with a G&P 7mm one. I modified my selector plate to work on it. When the gun is fully assembled it will only fire semi. When I have just the lower receiver and pistol grip it fires fine. It did fire once in auto for 5 rounds before locking up but it was a mechbox lock up. I think it's a problem with the selector plate but I'm not sure.

Exactly how did you modify your selector plate? I think that is your main problem there, unless the plate is rubbing/jamming against the upper receiver (happens) when you try to put it in full.

You must use a G&P selector plate with G&P mechboxes. Others MAY work, but its a crap shoot. Also, not all bodies will take a G&P mechbox either. G&G and ICS come to mind.

Part of it has to do with the shape of the selector and the precise location of all detents.

CDN_Stalker - I modified the selector to fit around the 7mm bearings, it is a stock TM one.

mcguyver - I have a guarder body. Would a guarder selector work or should I just go for the G&P one?

I broke the fire selector plate with my old G&P M4A1 and replaced it with a Guarder selector without any problems. It was using a G&P body so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.
