Tanaka AICS Trigger Assembly Problem

Hi I have a Tanaka AICS and apparently the trigger assembly came with a problem. Im opened up the gun to try to rectify it; and my main issue is this:

When I pull the trigger, a lever, directly connected to the trigger moves forward with a 'click' sound but it does NOT come into contact whatsoever with the Black colour lever, (which is sort of like the hammer which moves foward and is supposed to hit the mag valve).

I cant seem to change the position of the black 'hammer' to be able to fit into position with the trigger lever so that pulling the trigger will subsequently move the black hammer forward.

What is the solution anybody who owns the AICS? Thanks for any help. BTW the entire trigger group itself was not disassembled so that shld not be the cause of the problem.

And BTW, that metal piece above the whole trigger assembly that can be lifted up to see the inside mechanism, what is it for? or just for maintanence purposes? Does it come into play with my issue here?
