NEED HELP WITH APS CYLINDER

Hello, my cylinder is warped badly because the spring guide came apart inside the cylinder and my spring was just banging up against the inside of the cylinder every shot. I tried to warp it back into place and it loads perfectly but I was wondering that if it was not perfectly cylindrical (which it probably isn't--perfectly) will that have much effect on the accuracy/performance of my gun? Another question; If I do replace it, I was wondering if the FF teflon cylinder was a good buy. Does the teflon scrape off like on a frying pan? thanx a lot. Any info is useful. cheers

If the cylinder bore is out of whack, you'll lose fps due to lost compression past the piston head. The o-ring around the piston head does a fair job of keeping compression (in aeg's anyway), but in your case your probably best off getting a new cylinder (I suggest stock or whatever is reasonable, depending on the other upgrades in your rifle) and a metal spring guide to prevent it happening again.

Hope it's half decent advice...

thanx for the info. I was also wondering about that teflon cylinder. I know airsoft companies won't give me a straight answer, does anyone have one and has problems with one? thanx

Murdoch has it correct. A warped cyliner will result in a loss of compression and so a loss in FPS.

The FF teflon cylinder is great. I have one in my APS2 Type96. Ive put a load of shots through it and its still in perfect condition. Initially you may notice a bit of teflon will come off. I noticed when I cleaned the rifle the first few times that the lube had what I thought was a bit of teflon in it. Eventually this should dissappear.
