Maybe it's just me, but a cup seems like excessive protection from a .25 gram BB.

As Bug, he's been shot there more times then the entire team put together, it's like he has a bb magnet down there. We,ve even made up a joke about it, we don't have to chrony our guns, he can tell us how fast they're shooting by the number of tears.

I have only had one bleeder there when I got a shot right on the weeny slit (urinary meatus). I still see no need for a cup; if you can't hack the bleeders, don't play the sport. That or wear more clothes, I find that an extra pair of shorts underneath are more than enough, like Yuxi said, BDU's are usually loose enough.

I've been hit in the crotch countless times and never has it ever hurt or even stung a little, all because of the said loose BDU pants.

I have a Camelbak, so I don't need to deal with having a cup sloshing around.

No. Clothing stops the BB just fine.

While I don't wear a cup...I know of at least one injury that was serious enough for a team mate to have to go see a doctor. I have been hit in the meat and two veg a few times, and it stung like fuck..but I can't see myself wearing a cup in the middle of summer for 6-8 hours at a stretch.

Uh paintballing is a different story....one of those could proabably knock the pitch of your voice up a few levels.

Ya, cups are tempting due to the fear of that one time where someone will come around the courner, crouched, and put one dead on. But how likely is that....

errrr...
reminds me of the last game I played....

I was crouched just around a corner and a guy can and jumped... ended with a nice bb right in my back...point blank...GBB...ouch

If I was standing... would have been an other story..
