Firing issue
I have a UTG MP5 that recently need a new spur gear. The gear was successfully replaced and I am 98% sure that I put everything back into the same place. Now that the gun is back together I can only fire it on full auto. The semi auto function doesnt work and, when semi is selected, it feels like the trigger doesnt spring forward like it should. I looked around and talked to some people about this already. Some people have said that it is probably the selector plate but I am pretty sure I didnt lose any pieces. If anyone can help me out with a little advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You may have the same problem as i did, on the trigger switch, there is a tiny stub that has a spring attached to it, on this part, when it goes forward it allows the electricity to flow through, basically, that tiny stub may be broken, because thats what happened to mine and so i need to by a new switch set

have you tried to take it apart and push the selector plate on semi auto to see if it shoots once? if it is still working then somewhere along the lines when you put it back together you might have not installed the fire selector switch properly.

Typically one has to put the selector on semi when reinstalling the lower grip, otherwise it'll fire in full auto all the time.
