star m249 feedtray compatability
Does anybody know for sure if G&P and TOP m249 metal feedtray cover willl fit star m249. I know G&P and Top are compatible with one another.
Looking at the pics they look similar, to star. |

can't imagine they would be, isn't the star 249 body made of plastic anyway?
it's a bad idea to have a heavy piece of metal mounted to plastic. |

thats why you get the star, so us light framed guys can still heavy gun for a whole day. lol
There are quite a few differences between the star and the G&P/TOP. My team mate has a TOP and i have a Star. but the feed tray is something we haven't tried switching.

I'm a light framed guy; 135lbs and I used my G&P 249 for operation keystone 3, my full LMG loadout weighed in at 38lbs and I packed my rucksack light, only 35lbs.
Probably better off than a big guy cause when i hit the deck or roll my ankle I don't weigh enough to hurt myself, RIGHT SEAN?? lol |
