battery or motor

I just put a heavier spring in my aeg and i noticed that it may require more juice or a new motor, becuase the battery seems to not last as long becuase the mottor is drawing more current to pull the spring.

Should i upgrade from a 8.4v to 9.6v?

or

Should i upgrade from a stock ca motor to a new motor?

PS: the battery and motor are about 1.5 years old

Depends on what spring...but I'd do both. Batteries are cheap and so are some motors.

The Guarder Infinite Torque Up motors are awesome for the price. I've bought 3 or 4 in the last month or so. New EG1000 motors are really nice as well and a little cheaper.

Large battery cells if possible. 8.4v Large seem to do all I need, but some guys want 9.6v large batteries (high ROF).

If you're stuck to mini batteries a 9.6v mini is a nice bump up from a 8.4v mini...it won't last any longer though. Stick to the 1400-1500mah packs (all of mine are Intellect...no reason, just worked out that way), with quality cells. The no-name batteries never seem to work well for long...(I've got a box of them from guys just leaving them with me after repairs).

battery would be the easier way.

if you have an M4, definitely go with Battery option because motor reinstall is the #1 cause(Atleast from what I've seen) of gun failures for M4s.

I'd definitely reccomend a Guarder Infinite Torque motor, it's almost(or just as) good as Systema Magnum, without the magnum price.
