Mp5 - Mag loose in the mag catch.

Well the mag are loose, and can be removed, without even touching the mag release switch.

Ive tought about putting electrical tape.

But i've wondered if there was any screw that i could tighten.
So i'm asking.

Model: G&G Pm5a5

I'm loving my STAR mags. They're plastic though, but they're pretty much cheap enough to let them drop onto the ground and lose like the "real operators" do

Seriously though they're nice and cheap and that's all you can ask for (don't drop them on the ground and lose them though, use a dump pouch instead). A believe a box of 10 STAR real-cap Armalite mags is something like $90 + shipping IIRC.

I've saw a box of 10 STAR Mp5 mag at 30$US + shipping on eHobby.
That will be those il be getting.

The Hi-cap mag that came with the G&G Pm5 is pretty loose in the mag well, so i've put a bit of electrical tape on the top, and it hold good now ^^

Thank buddy

mags

Yeah the star are pretty good. I've got 2x vanaras 100round 2x 100round MAG mags 10xstar 30round mags 2xg&p metal 100round mags and a jg hi-cap for my TM mp5a2. all of the plastic mags require a little filing or sanding to catch easily. the metal ones click in without any problems. But all of them feed without any problems.

I was having the same problem, and all I had to do was to just push on it a little harder (to the point I thought for sure it was in all the way) and then I felt/heard it "click" into place. That fixed half of the problem

The problem I keep having is that it jiggles loose when I run. I read that electrical tape would solve that, but I'm not sure how to go about it.

either put a little tape on the loose mags or if all your mags are loose, put some on the inner side of the mag well until they don't rattle anymore.

I got a duo mag with a well once that didn't fit super snug in my gun so i put a strip or black electrical tape around the top. Make sure its nice and in all the groves and it when pushed it will catch nicely. I had to slam it the first few times to get the tape formed but it works fine now. Hope that helps. Good Luck!!

-I hope you got it sorted out i just saw the date of the post...FEB 09.

what it is is the grove in the mag is not deep enough to catch on the mag release.
