g&g m4 vs g&g m16

alright so im kinda of new to airsoft been playing for about 2 months now and am really enjoying it. Im looking to step up from a stock walmart m4 and im torn between and m4 and m16.

m16:
http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=437

m4:
http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=438

The specs look the same but im wondering if there is a differance in accuracy between the two of them. Im more intrested in accuracy apposed to anything else i read that because the m16 has a longer barrel its more accurate. is that true?

any feedback would be much appreciated thanks in advance

Welcome to ASC, first of all read all the basic info in the general and faq section. Now to your question. A longer barrel will give you better accuracy and distance. However I would avoid that site. If you chech some reviews theynare given poor scores for customer service. Those guns also have plastic internals and for a few dollars more you can get the same guns with metal internals. I would suggest 007airsoft.com, mach1airsoft.com or www.mtmfg.ca. If you are 18+ you may want to wait intil you are av'd. When av'd you will have access to the classifeds and av retailer section. There yu can get used full black guns that are pre-upgraded for about the same cost and with retailers just about anything you can dream of.

Get AV'd first then you can see the more badass things available on the classified section. Either gun is a good choice. I have a G&G CQB M4 and I fielded it on Sunday for the first time. Even with the short barrel it is quite accurate. The accuracy difference between the 2 you have posted will be slight. Its more of a visual preference.

Buyairsoft is under new management. CAS bought them out.

Their customer service should be better now that they're under new management.

As for your question. The barrel length does make a difference to some extent but TBH not much. You should consider your body type and size first before picking a gun variant. I was told that hopup unit and rubber quality is more important in accuracy than barrel length (barrel length does play a part in it however but only to an extent).

eg. Will you be able to comfortably field an M16 (are you a big guy with a football player build?) or will you be better off with an M4 carbine (are you a smaller guy who's skinnier?).

Where are you located?

If you fill out your profile someone will be able to direct you to the people in your area you should be talking to.

Take a look at the FAQ's too. Airsoft Canada

There's a wealth of information there.
