Decent Eye Protection?

What would be a decent price/performance eyewear ? I don't want to cheap out on my eye protection, but I don't want to buy a 200$ goggle neither, just something that works and won't break the bank.

Recommended models ?

Bolle T800 Tactical goggle. I usually saw on classified about 40 $ to 50 $ shipped.

I got my pair second hand from a surplus shop for 20$, a good pair of ESS profilers, and I got a new set of lenses from CPgear.

OR; Hit up RNichols(police & emergency services supply store), They usually have pairs of UVEXs(a good pair) with one lens going for about 15-20 brand new.

You can't go wrong with a pair of ESS goggles. They go for about $40-50 and worth every penny. They're rated to stop shotgun blasts so stopping bbs won't be a problem and they're double paned so they never fog. I have a pair and I love them to pieces.

Consider where your primary playing location will be. If it happens to be a paintball field with certain restrictions on their insurance, then you'll want to invest in a good set of paintball goggles. The JT Spectra/Flex line are probably the most common simply for the fact that the mask portion can be detached and reattached easily.

They do fog - just not very much.

Where can I go for additional information on this subject?

Perhaps you have a different model then me, or I haven't put them through as extreme conditions as you have. I'm only speaking from my personal experience, but they've never fogged on me and I've had them a year now. Not in the wind or the rain, or warm temperatures or cold.

it's all well and good to get a fancy pair of tactical goggles, but many paintball fields will not allow use of them on-field, as they are not paintball certified according to insurance companies. As Endymion suggested, a pair of JT goggles are very good. You can get thermal lenses for 'em, which work fantastic for me. Even during night-games, I haven't gotten them to fog to a point unlike other goggles I've worn.

they're relatively low profile, as well, and with the right mask attached, you can have full face protection, and still be able to use iron-sights.

I just got with a JT Radar paintball mask. Doesnt fog for me.

If you want just eye protection, buy the mask and take the goggles out.

Paintball mask, or paintball goggles. I put them over mine.
