Grenade Launcher

Although I haven't had a chance to play with it too much, I'm looking into buying a grenade launcher for my M4, and just wanted some input about play and feel. Anybody who has one could you please share if you enjoy it or if it's too cumbersome, and help me make a decision. Thanx a lot.

Grenades are expensive. Best to use Co2 ones because they shooter harder and further.
I don't like the Madbull Xm203.. It's just a button and it's not really like the real M203 launchers. If you manage to find on in AV, get it. Better to have a trigger to pull than pushing a button on the launcher. It takes more force on the botton on co2 grenades than the trigger.

I'm hearing the new DBOYS 3 in 1 launchers are great for the price.

This should be in the airsoft gun discussion but to answer your question, the madbull xm203 are great no small part that will break and no creaky plastic. I have pretty much used or had owned all of the launcher available the only one i have used and kept are my madbull xm203, my M79 and the launcher revolver. When using these launchers i highly recommend the madbulls kings or the cherries shell they are both propane and co2 friendly.

I had one on my 1st M4A1...

They're wicked, and I've gotten lots of kills with it up to 4/5 people at once at times. The only downside I found is it made the M4 Really front heavy and after a full day of game my back would be a little sore.

None the less if you have the budget then get one for sure, they're hella fun I'd recommend getting 4 to 6 cells for it as well and I know you can buy pouches that hold them somewhere.

XM203 launcher I would recommend, its great and reliable, has a simple mechanism.

if u get hp204 shells by madull, well, ul have some insande distance and power, every game I nail a couple of ppl with one shot.

get a launcher if u have the budget for it, any launcher as long as its solid is fine, just make sure it can take the hp204 shells.

XM203 is ugly. Classic M203 all the way.

Expensive it definitely is. $300-350 for the launcher and then another $400-500 for grenades. But definitely worth it. Takes alittle practice, especially the propane grenades that have alittle less power (but are cheaper and you don't have to lug along multiple gas sources). And it does make the gun front heavy, especially if you're not running a full stock and have the battery in the front. But definitely worth it!

Vanaras shells from rsov.com are like $15 CDN after shipping, comrade.

For 40mm grenades I've found that Madbull is the only way to go, though propane vs c02 is arguable. As to the brand of launcher, that depends on the gun really. Different manufacturers mount m203's slightly differently. So do your homework and make sure the launcher you're going to get will work with the gun you have. Personally I think the xm203 is ugly. It is also, as far as I know, ris mount only. So if you're after a barrel mount like mine then you'll have to go with a classic m203. You asked about the Classic Army m203, if your gun is a Classic Army then that's a good choice, it'll definitely mount with no problems, otherwise you may have to get an adapter kit. The same goes if you want to mount a different manufacturer barrel-mount m203. The one in the picture I posted is a Classic Army.

I was thinking about a launcher but then couldn't justify the front weight. Would it be gay to add weight to your stock to counter ballance this?

If you don't mind the increased overall weight you could line the stock with lead weights or something. That would certainly balance the launcher.
