Typically, fields limit FPS to way below the level needed to be a firearm. It's unsafe and unnecessary for gaming purposes. Not to mention, you'd need a PAL/RPAL once you exceed the FPS and energy requirements. Oh, yeah, then most AEGs would be illegal as they are fullauto. Last time permits were issued for FA was 1977.

Black/non-clear guns are available to ASC Age Verified individuals via retailers and the classifieds here. Clear guns were "created" to satisfy the CBSA's importation requirements. Without very expensive (and for all purposes here, impossible to get) permits, clear is what your stuck with if you're not age verified. Check the stickies for how to get "AV'd"

The stickies and FAQ's can be a long read...but I wrote THIS ONE to help get guys started.

Darklen nailed it.

The terms "Canadian Legal" and whatever marketing terms the retailers are using now just refer to the fact that the clear rifles are legal to import. It has little to nothing to do with how legal/not it is for you to have and use one.

Don't know where you're located, or how old you are (both matter and change how much help others can give you). If you're over 18yrs old, get out to a game and ask people in person. See what they're using and get their opinions on it. It'll compress about 3-6months of wading through all the info on ASC into 1 day...and if you get along with the guys, you'll probably get to play right away!

Have fun,

Tys
