Home made ANZAC S.A.S. chopped M14

This topic still exist on some forums(under Murdoc, or Flippy username), is hopefully new for some airsofters...8O
I saw this photo, and I had an idea to make my CYMA SOCOM useful in Nam airsoft...

SLR front grip offered better control during full-auto fire.
The plans transfered to beech wood(I wanted walnut, but I just found unplaned ones... Staining may help  ) The stock was made from two halfs

Wood milling ready(as I thought that time... so naiv), and some help-holes bored.

Cut out...

Some fine work done...

Guled together...
Wanted stuck metall parts inside... Damm!!! Didn't fit...

After some days sanding, and milling... fit.

Stock-end finished too...

So far very impressive! That's some precision routing, looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Some linseed oil would really make for an awesome (and period correct, but I'm sure you're all over that) finish.

it ks absolutely sexy!!! one thing thought... it would look way better if you "blended" the front grip in the main stock with some putty so its like the grip was part of the receiver...

freakin good work thought... cnc router??

impressive workmanship. Like others I don't really like the vertical grip. And the 30 mag looks goofy to me......but the wood working is FN awesome! Best I have ever seen!
