I deleted all of my airsoft pics after a user on ASC complained that he was deleted due to posting facebook pics of airsoft.

So...does anyone know if we're allowed to post ANY airsoft pics on facebook? If so, to what level? I'd love to have them up there, but don't want to get banned.

Thoughts?

i dont see why you would get banned for it, considering i have seen lots of pictures of real guns on there, as well as there are even groups for airsoft. I think it all depends on the nature of the photos. If someone is shooting it at animals or at innocent bystanders then the pictures in my opinion should be taken down.

I believe that the problem is when someone, for whatever reason, reports your photo. That's when you get your acc. suspended or whatever.

Yeap, Facebook doesn't have enough time to check every single photo added. If you know people who would be offended enough to report your photos, then you should either take em down, or make them private.

I'm pretty sure the main reason that people get banned for having airsoft/real steel pictures up on their account is because some uppity bitch 'oh god think of a children' goes and reports you.

I got all of my airsoft and military photos on Facebook, something like 45 albums in total and never had a complaint yet.

I got two sexy women RCMP knocked my apartment last year along with a truck load of some guys dress in black carry something like P90, lol because of some silly soccer mom call cop on me. The point is I put a tag that it's airsoft gun, war game..etc.. and still they do it. So go figure out yourself.

You better keep it private or delete all of them.

I have 1 or 2 pics up, no problems.

I think it must be someone reporting you, how well do you know your friends?

I've had a crapload of airsoft pics on mine for the past two years, and not even a burp of a complaint. And I only made mine private two months ago. Not something I'd really worry about.

Dude. First KND is Cambodian. I don't think that helps at all because of the darker skin = middle east = terrorist line of thinking (note: I would hope that people in Canada aren't that stupid, but hey you never know).

Second he's not a Canadian citizen. IIRC he's on a student visa or something. Hopefully that doesn't affect anything but it probably does (oh it's a terrorist getting through into Canada using a student visa).

Finally it seems like everyone he knows as an acquaintance is either too nosey or just a socialist bitch (read: anti-gun). Remember that shitfest about having a roll of wire in his backpack (for something totally unrelated to airsoft IIRC)? "What? People actually use wire to make things other than bombs? I didn't know that. I thought electronics used magic to carry current from one part to another"

OP: I think it may also depend on your profession too. If you say you're a CF Infantry soldier and you have pics of you in CADPAT holding a C7 and stuff chances are it's not going to get taken down. Now replace that with someone working as a researcher or cab-driver and he has a pic wearing an "Op-For uniform" with a Shemagh and an AK and lets see how long that lasts.
