duped by ShootSoft airsoft?
Hey guys,
Haven't posted in a while but I'm still very much into airsoft and recently I decided to try out the whole new "canadian liscened" airsoft range. So I went on a shootsoft and bought myself the Glock "27"(26) with transparent body and "metal slide" Now there was some problem with the site about how long it would take to deliver but that is old old news and doesnt matter. What matters now is that, although I love the gun and it works great, the slide or barrel isn't metal at all. Once I field stripped the gun it became evident that the barrel was metal but encased in plastic and the slide was just plastic with metal internals. Now im kinda pissed, i payed for a metal slide and didnt get one. I was planning on maybe getting a canadian liscened beretta but now im not so sure if it turns out to be more plastic than metal. It seems to me that the websites who sell this particular gun should advertise it as plastic slide and not metal. The only thing I can think about that would make me wrong is if Glock slides are supposed to be plastic and the "metal slide" refers to the internals. But I am 100% sure that other brands that make glocks with metal slides have actual zinc or whatever slides. ? Last edited by The Saint; October 24th, 2009 at 18:50.. Well, shootsoft is not known for good service.
Its not a mistake, they just ripped you off. You are right, though, plenty of companies make Glocks with metal slides. 007 and Mach1, and I think Capital, all have the KJWorks "Canadian Legal" Glock. Last edited by MoreToasties; October 21st, 2009 at 15:20.. |

LOL Canadian Licenced? really? who markets their shit as that?
Anyhoo, some KJW's come with plastic slides and some come with metal ones, the issue is between you and shootsoft, this should be in the retailer resolution section, they offered a metal slide and delivered a plastic one, this doesn't have anything to do the Cansoft (as most people call it) but just a dispute between a shitty retailer (a little research would've told you this) and a dissatisfied customer.

The G27 comes in either the metal slide or plastic slide versions (plastic slide should be $30-50 cheaper) looks like they screwed you over by sending you the cheap one instead of the metal one you ordered.

The KJW "Canadian legal" Glock comes in 2 versions - 1 with a metal slide and one with plastic. The plastic slide version being significantly cheaper than the metal one.
Seems to shootsoft may have accidentally sent you the wrong gun. From reviews on this site, it's not unusual at all for them to mess up orders. If it's new in the box and unused, MAYBE they'll correct their error. The fun part will be getting them to acknowledge that they made an error in the first place and then to get them to make it right at their own expense. They have a horrid reputation when it comes to customer service, even when they've been clearly proven to be in the wrong.

Well I dont want to screw with the guy and demand a refund or anything.
Although I guess I should ask for him to send me a metal slide. I mean shit, the problem is its been about a month since I got the gun. Meaning, because I didn't really notice I'm probably fucked because I didn't put it to the stores attention immediately. It was hard to notice, ive been so busy moving to montreal and stuff I didn't get the chance to really play with the thing. I mean the slide is coldish...but the iron sights and the other metal parts are colder. Once I took it apart it became clear... Well, it was their fault for making a small mistake and it was my fault for waiting and now im screwed. I know that its not that expensive for a metal slide online, but does the TM one fit the KJ? I don't think you can get an aftermarket slide for a KJW Glock. Aftermarket KJW parts are nonexistent. Some models are partially TM compatible. I know their M9 and P226/229 slides are compatible. Otherwise though, you're pretty much beat when it comes to KJW parts.

@Combine - Your best bet is to get age verified here and then you'll have access to the buy and sell, where you can purchase a pistol that will live up to your expectations.

Oh yeah, forgot about those. Their Hi Capas are 100% TM compatible. I believe that their 1911's are either fully or partially as well.

I think you bought a plastic G27 that was wrongfully advertised, I am sure that you can sort this problem out with Christian from Shootsoft especially since they come to many games in the Quebec area. In person he is not the same guy
KJW G27s have in fact the plastic slide and the metal slide models, I only carry the metal slide in my store and haven't seen the plastic slide model. |
