ICS vs G&G

Before everyone comes down on me about not being AV'd , I'm looking to get AV'd sometime next week or in the near future so don't bring that up. I understand about the classifieds, and I should wait but...

I'm looking to buy a brand new G&G M4 or a ICS M4. I'm not sure witch one to get yet , I want to start off with something relatively cheap and I'll upgrade it as I go. I understand that ICS isn't compatible with some TM upgrades however G&G is. I've been told that ICS is of higher quality then G&G so I'm on the fence. I was going to purchase a VA M4-RIS but decided I didn't want a JG.

What are you're thoughts on this.

ICS and G&G are both great companies, both Taiwanese and both somewhat TM compatible, what i'm trying to say is, if you go for the ICS you'll be amazed by the split gearbox and the cool forward assist used as a spring decompression but one downside is the only thing that will be TM compatible would be the mexhbox INTERNAL, no hopup the externals may be compatible but may require some minor fixations

G&G (if your buying a classified one) to my knowledge doesn't have the great metal body compared to a ICS but is 100% tokyo marui compatible (I think). leaving you room for tons of external and internal upgrades.

So basically, up to you personally. Watch some youtube videos.

G&G sold in Canada have copper and zinc internal parts as opposed to sturdy metal. ICS internals have been kept the same. From dealing with both models I can say from experience that I get about 50% returns within the first month of my guarantee policy of G&G guns for broken pistons, gearbox screws missing or popped, and other defects. ICS guns only return about 12% of the time and those only for broken plastic piston which is easily changeable and an understandable defect.

The decision is easy

Most people forget that if its NIB then you you had best go over it entirely to ensure all screws are set propper and all peices aligned properly. Simply fireing a gun with a loose piston head can screw everything!

I've grown quite fond of ICS and its split mechbox design. To choose between the 2, I'd more than likely go ICS for that reason alone.
