to anyone looking for guns on ebay
just a heads up to anyone browsing ebay for a deal on guns.
to date ive had pretty good luck buying a few used guns on ebay ( mostly for wall hangers) but right now there are a handfull of listings of what apears to be some "great deals" by a seller named electronicsrus*101 . after some issues with how he was going about the deal ( way to long to tell here) i finaly was able to get a tracking number for the item ( dboys RK-03 ak74) well, turns out the gun is being shipped from hong kong! not ontario where it had said in the ad on ebay. I'm aware of the importing laws on airsoft guns and know its buyer-be-ware, and i know i most likely will never see the gun get through customs, i can take the hit money wise, but i just dont want any one else ending up in my shoes. I didn't think ebay allowed you to post airsoft gear.

Airsoft gear yes (vests, goggles, BB's, parts, etc.) but airsoft guns no.

Well that right there is the issue.
Since eBay cant check every single listing to make sure it complies with their rules, they deny responsibility for anything not allowed. For example, you buy an airsoft gun on eBay, and the seller runs away with your money. While you could successfully sue, eBay will not take any part, seeing as airsoft rifles are against the rules. Unfortunately, you're on your own with this one. |

I dont think paypal should honor his claim. He broke the rules for ebay, simple as that.
Even if it was in Canada he still did that. Sorry to sound rude but you knew better.

I am assuming that you are referring to Ebay.ca and not general Ebay.com as it pertains to selling airsoft guns. You are allowed to sell airsoft guns on Ebay.com as long as they have orange tips (and follow a couple other small guidelines).

If you're from Canada, you're not allowed to sell guns on ebay - airsoft, BB, real, or otherwise. Orange tips or not are irrelevant. It's part of the terms of service of eBay Canada. Even if you use ebay.com or ebay.uk, or whatever else, you're still bound by the rules and terms of service of ebay canada if your account originates in Canada.
