Airsoft trip summer 2010

So I think its about time that us noobs from across Canada gathered together for a nice 'airsoft training vacation'.

If we were to plan it around some workshop and a few games with ASC hosts the whole thing could bring more noobs into the flock.

I was thinking that carpool would be great for some of us and one hotel that we all stay in to keep the group in focus. So here we go!

Goal: Get connected into the greater airsoft community.

Who: Any airsofter (this is aimed at noobs to integrate, but all need to socialize).

What: An airsoft meet and greet with all of our favorite ASC members.

When: Summer 2010 (lets find common ground).

Where: In hopes of Ontario and Manitoba, perhaps Quebec.

Why: So the people across the country have a chance to share some time.

Please tell me your opinions on this idea first, if it has some potential to happen we will start a new sign up thread or clean this one for it.
Thanks
Jordan

I say manitoba, that way its kinda equel distance for all to travel. if it were in ontario I doubt you'd be seeing too many B.C or Alberta boys there

In Manitoba we actually have a "noob day" game, its usually the first major game of the season. Its also usually a very large game with each team and retailers having tents with booths in the field outside the gaming area. Ill dig up the date but its up on the MAA site, www.mb-airsoft.com forums. Im sure we would welcome anyone outside the province to show up as well!

EDIT: May 8th is the day, come one come all and enjoy the tactical burger!

Theres a huge concentration of fields and players in southern Ontario.

Lots in and around the GTA, and lots in and around the Kitchener-waterloo-cambridge-guelph area.

Its quite a hike from Alberta though.

Maybe one for every region?

Pacific and Prarie (BC/AB/SK/YK/NWT)
Centeral and East (MB/ON/QC/NU)
Atlantic (NL/NB/PEI/NS)

Seems like a good idea in theory and would be almost like setting up a milsim but then again a lot of clubs do have newbie days or big events too.

As said before, Manitoba has one, Red Tiger did one in Quebec and it worked pretty well.

If I was to travel for a game, I'd rather do it for a large-scale milsim than for a noob day

Good idea overall, I'd think l473ency's idea would work better.

The NS and NB guys usually play together, we'll also get PEI guys sometimes. Would be nice to play with guys from NL though.

This event could take place across Canada..ie; 5 different(or more) venue's with each venue being documented on video(with an introduction segment giving us all a chance to greet the camera and physically see all our fellow airsofter's across this great nation, and the chosen venue's in question) then posted here for all to see the action from across the country..(giving us all an idea what it's like everywhere else)..just a thought..peace ..E.I.M..

There's no way newbies are going to devote time/money to travel half way across the country to "share some time". It's more practical just to stick within their regions. For instance, Team Ghosts is holding one in May at FR.
