aftermath ak 47 upgrade
So I'm wondering how much would it take to upgrade the internals of something like this https://www.buyairsoft.ca/rifles/electric/ak-47-od-green.html I'd wanna make sure nothing would break down inside / make it lipo ready. I have no clue on how to approach this so if you do , feel free to let me know

More than the gun. That's if you want to make it bulletproof. Basically, if you intend on running lipo in it. count on replacing all of the internals. And if you're clueless about mechboxes, a complete mechbox is the best option. However, the down side is that for the price of a Kraken plus all the replacement parts, you could get a better quality gun that wouldn't need all its internals replaced.

and its externals aswell

Agreed. While not the best quality, most of the externals are of useable quality. The clear receiver is quite brittle though, and prone to cracking. So expect another $100 on top of that for a cheap metal receiver (like Element). Or maybe you can luck into a quality used TM plastic receiver in the classifieds.
Krakens are good project guns. They give you something useable out of the box that can be used as an upgrade platform that they can upgrade over time. But if you're looking for a reliable, solid performer with minimal tomfoolery required, you're looking at the wrong gun by getting a Kraken.
