CF MilSim
what are your suggestions to get started on a canadian Milsim? The scenarios would be based on what happened in Yugo and during the late cold war

Theres a lot of info an pics on that on this forum(like a couple threads down) and avail through google searches.
Its an easy set up.. OD Combats, OD bushcap or US woodland boonie, MKIII combat boots, jungle boots or desert boots, 82 Pattern Webbing or LBV, M1 Helmet with woodland cover or PASGT painted blue(for the Bosnia/Croatia set up early '90s). And for weapon a C7 rifle. For early '80s use a C1/FN FAL or a Sten SMG. For 3rd line kit, get an old Canadian Nuke bag, 82 Pat Rucksack or 64 Pat Jump Ruck. Rain gear theres the old OD rain gear or you can use a US Poncho. Last edited by -Skeletor-; March 6th, 2010 at 18:15.. |

If you have a lot of experience organizing/hosting milsim type events, then just research research research, track down any players in your area who have knowledge on the subject - you might have some players who were actually over there and they would be indispensable for helping you sort out the details.
FYI the Canadian peacekeeping deployments to the Balkans happened after the end of the cold war; virtually all military historians mark it ending with the fall of the Berlin wall and the breakup of the USSR. |
