Ya man FedEx left my RS Type 97B just in front of my front door, nobody would steal it but it still pisses me off.

Brokerage fees are only applied when you select the cheapest delivery option with UPS/FedEx. They do not charge it when you select another option than Ground Shipping.

Found out that Fedex will, uh, skip the signature for you're package depending on the circumstances.

I had a package coming in from DS Tactical and I knew they would deliver it when I was at work. Thankfully we got off work early - right as I was walking downstairs from my shower the bell rings.

So well, had to open the door just wearing a towel.

"Hey there, is this...uh...yea don't worry about the...signature...here ya go."

I went for regular US Post option, the cheapest and slowest one they had, then I find out UPS had left a slip on my door. Wasn't even a delivery service, I chose the basic US postal one they had. Didn't think that UPS would be cheaper than "snail mail".

In my area it depends on who is delivering the packages that day...

I have had no package and no slip but the post office called me saying it was 5 days there and going to be sent back.

I have had them just leave a package with no signature even though it needed one.

I have also been here when the package guy comes and they get out of van and just slap a slip on the door with no intentions of seeing if anyone was home.

All I can say is insurance lol and you you opt to pay for faster shipping with Canada Post (ex. next day shipping) and it doesn't make it by the delivery time just call and they will give a full refund.

I've had firearms left outside the door.

First was an o/u 12ga and the next was a .22lr

Needless to say both were shipped with signature required and neither got a signature. I gave the CP manager a blast of crap you could have heard next door.

They are really careful with all my packages now

Isn't that like super illegal? I would assume that if the CFO or RCMP heard about this they would stir up a shitstorm. Sure it was safe this time but what happens if the next time you're buying an AR-15 and it gets stolen? Shouldn't there be a higher standard for firearms deliveries making sure the person is who they say they are and they have a PAL or something? Though I once did hear of an AR-15 getting tossed in the bushes and the owner freaking out or something until they found it in the bushes, yeah that's just not cool.

I've had the delivery person sign the package with a random scrawl before but most of the time the people who do my neighbourhood are pretty good and leave the notice and drop it off at the local CP package drop off centre.

This happens more then you think.

I have a friend and every real steal he has had shipped was just left there on the doorstep and this seems to be the norm when talking with folks at his gun club

Hi guys!

Next question from me! What happens if I pay a seller with positive feedbacks and he never send my airsoft? How do I get protected? Will ASC do something?

Thank you again for your help!

Whenever there is a dispute the Admins try to work it out and try to facilitate a happy medium for everyone. They are by no means bound to do anything if the seller refuses. The onus is on you for following up with the local Law Enforcement and RCMP about someone who defrauded you. Theres a sticky in the classifieds that tells you everything you need to know.

Make sure who ever sends you the item, request they ask for signature.
In most cases if it is a large item, they will leave a delivery notice.
