For a collector, this is worth it. For gaming / plinking, this is as useless as tits on a nun.

If it's not restricted to import it, I might get one for shits and giggles. Combine it with a KWA cansoft G18C, (since you only need upper and internals) brings the price down some.

If it's restricted and I have to pay 2-2.5X the cost to have it imported, no way.

It is restricted for importation, because Magpul actually made some functional prototypes (as opposed to just some non-functional mock ups).

I think the concept for this weapon are pretty much retarded when it comes to airsoft. I'd say the actual gun is more or less made to be concealed until needed and that seems like the airsoft correlation would be something like randomly shooting a friend at the mall which.... yeah dumb scenario idea....

When I saw the real thing first it looks rather small and compact but that one pic above the Tavor makes it look rather huge. I'm still kinda interested in it for the cancept but that is about all. The sad thing is this concept type of gun is significantly hurt by people having seen it. Like if Magpul only ever showed and sold it to a few people like the FBI or something then it would be much easier to conceal since you wouldn't have people knowing what that shaped blocky jigger is.

For roleplaying games it may be really nice for some bodygard or specops/underciver agents.

jeez you guys sure are close-minded.
reasons this is better than a pistol (just for the sake of being devils advocate)
1) longer barrel (higher velocity for gas guns)
2) stock and front grip increase stability and comfort over handguns. (undeniable common sense)
3) holds a 30 rounder while folded (ever tried running around with one of those in your holstered glock?)
4) rail for optics (never seen a glock with sight in a holster that wasnt for IPSC)

i rest my case.

i should also note that you guys are comparing this thing to pistols. why? because it has glock internals? i would compare it more to other SMGs like an MP5 cause thats really what it was designed for in which case it is pretty cool in that it has all the capabilities of that gun with the aded benefit of folding.

It looks huge because it IS huge.

If they'd made a pistol, like a Glock or a SIG, which folds down into something the size of a pack of cigarettes then yeah, awesome. But they just took a full size Glock and added a huge folding case around it. There's absolutely nothing "more concealable" about this POS: get a Glock 27 or 39, SIG P229 or 1911 Ultra Compact and a CCW holster if you want concealable. This clunky Transformers-wannabe requires a backpack to lug around.

The concept wasn't hurt by anything. By Magpul's own admission it was just that, a concept, to show off what they can do. Undercover cops aren't gonna walk around with stuff like this and yell SURPRISE! and bust a mad gun transformation move to surprise criminals.

Walking around with a box that big is probably more conspicuous than even just having a gun in your belt or pocket

MP5K Briefcase. Then at least you can at least look like an ordinary businessman, as long no one looks at the briefcase too closely.

Is it just me, or when they are shooting in the video, it sounds and looks like a AEG...and not a GBB (too quiet, no recoil, ROF is too slow for a GBB...)
