It wasn't about you helping me GET a gun, it was about you telling me which was the best of the two... I never once planed on purchasing from the classifieds, and was buying it legally...

You should see those 2 years as 2 years of planning. Use these two years to buy your gear, or at least, plan it.

That's what I should've done, I'm 18, and the hobby is expensive when you have to pay everything in a month or two.

oh really? how so? you do realize if you read at all "18+ only" is what every airsoft gun website says so unless you magically acquire 2 years suddenly then you having a gun is illegal.
and telling you which ones better? we are not here to spoonfeed you information. Google. or use the search button? there are reviews of each gun on the internet. you just have to find them.

Wait 2 years and buy something worth it, G&G's simply aren't.

I've been putting up with a G&G AK47 for a while now. If you want to get rid of that shitty plastic on the gun. Have fun.
I literally had to replace everything externally on the gun. The only thing that remains on it now that are original G&G parts are the Selector switch, rear sight, trigger guard...
Thats about it.
The gun shoots fine but theres nothing external thats compatable with other brands in the case of replacing damaged parts or a simple FMU.

I mean, take whats been told to you for granted. There is more to it all than just saying "Wait 'til you're of age blah blah blah", You're going to waste 350 dollars on a gun you're going to sell for a 1/3rd less when you get age verified. Why not save that 350 or so to actually buy something of worth once you are verified. Its not that hard of a concept to comprehend. Be patient, it'll be worth it. A lot of people don't seem to understand the quality gap between this cansoft shit and what is readily available to them through Age verification. I had to learn this the hard way.

RITZ thats a self imposed community rule, it's not required by law to be 18 to buy an airsoft gun except in Ontario, not that i disagree with you.

well actually if you take a look at all the retailers within Canada you will notice that they themselves enforce a 18+ rule as well even though most are not located within Ontario.

Sure, I can go online and search up some reviews, but I'd rather hear it from fellow Canadians and ask my questions the way I want to ask them...You seem to have soemthing against youngsters just starting out in the sport...Sure, I see why, the majority of them are the ones who do illegal crap and get airsoft banned or even more controlled...I understand that but that doesn't give you any reason to insinuate I'm stupid or something of that nature.

www.buyairsoft.ca sells to 16 year olds however not guns above 300FPS (I think), and they must be completely transparent. So, legally I can still purchase airsoft guns in Canada at my age, and I can play in my area on private property or designated playing areas who allow 16 year olds to play.

It seems pretty pointless at this point to really tell you much of anything. Tokyo Seven has pretty much summed up how to make your decision, as a few others have in this thread.

Its up to personal preference.

Do you like the AK, or Do you like the M16. Pick, because at this point you're just pissing off more than a few members.

If you really need details on what to pick.
Start looking up oppinions between the Version 2 (m16) and Version 3 (AK47) gearbox.

I think the only possible correct part of that statement is that buy airsoft sells to 16 years old's.
