have you cleaned/washed the hopup rubber yet?
for me that was a temporary fix but I didn't feel like tearing it down just to wash it before a game so I got the nine ball. with the new rubber, on full hop BB's will jam on mine. |

So the 9 ball did the trick? Mine only get far range on full hopup!
Did you bed the metal adjuster clip at all or just replace the hopup with the 9ball? also is this the correct one you used? |

that's the correct one. but before you buy it, have you tried to wash the rubber yet?
I only ask this because if it improves your hop/range temporarily, the new rubber will work. if at full hop still doesn't improve, then there might be something else wrong. try to get it chronied with hopup off. |

Will wash it today and try it out. to see if it makes a difference
Thanks |

yes, like coachster said, wash it with dish detergent. Air dry it and make sure there's absolutely no oil or grease. Then reinstall.
that will bring up your range and accuracy substantially(Will also make the hop up more sensitive.). |

Washing it didnt make much of a difference, still only works decent well with the hopup full.
So maybe the rubber is worn down a bit or i just need to bend that metal clip some more. |

you can try to bend it some more. just don't do what TNL did and break it. lol.

Well bending it seemed to help, it goes pretty far now and i can more or less tune it in.. theres a slight curve the the left in the last 30' of flight but that is probally from an uneven bend! but hey i have range!!!

Little bit of a thread revival.
I need some help on how the TM mk23's hop up is supposed to go back together. I washed my hop up rubber, and I cant figure out how to get the small metal piece back in place? (I think its called the hop up arm). As well, if someone could offer a picture of how the metal piece is supposed to be bent? Thanks Last edited by Shrapnel[Op-For]; January 22nd, 2011 at 02:33.. |

Well...I will jump in, since I have the TM Mk23 too and I can tell you the problem is not the hop-up rubber but definately the hop-up system of that gun the problem.
The hop-up design is flawed and I always dreamt about the day an aftermarket company would do a metal hop-up unit or something different, because the stock one does not work. Usually TM have excellent hop-up units, but not on that one. Bending the hop-up arm will fix your problem for maybe 1 or 2 mags, after that the arm would go back to normal, being too loose and you will loose range like crazy, not only that, the wheel for dialing the hop up is plastic with no notch or grooves so it will unwind itself without touching anything after shooting severall BBs, there is a mod that I have been able to do myself that so far as fixed the issue and it's much more than only bending the arm. If you want to do a permanent fix, you will have to do it in 3 steps. I will try to post pictures or just do a seperate thread on how to fix this issue. I have been loosing alot of time trying to fix this thing. The gun is amazing and the sound report is legendary...but the hop-up unit is faulty and real garbage. Nothing compared to what TM is capable of. For those who will say that their mk23 work fine...it's only a matter if time before you loose range because of the hop-up arm, sooner or later it will happened
