So after a bunch of Guarder Hop up rubbers later (thanks Duy for the help!) I installed a new hop up rubber on my inner barrel.
Now I reassembled my gun and loaded it for a test. And the results were THE SAME! With the clear hop up rubber (Guarder) the bb's were rolling out of the barrel. After many tries I took out the clear rubber and installed a black Guarder hop up rubber, and this time the bb got stuck where the bucking holder sits (the beginning tip of the rubber). Anyone got any ideas of what is causing this? I'm thinking the air nozzle may be weared down now, or the "plastic" hop up has gone crap but I wouldn't know for the life of me. I can take pics of it if you want. The gearbox runs fine btw, Everything seems to be working well. |

Check your airseal, if bb's are dropping out when your firing, it could be that. ensure your gearbox is properly and firmly mounted with the support bracket installed during testing. Also check the FPS with the hopup completely off to eliminate the gearbox as the root cause. then apply hop slowly. If you are acheiving the desired fps it is most likely due to something wrong with your hopup or mag (ie missing nub, misfeeds etc)

I'll check if it is properly mounted now. Do you mean checking the FPS with a chronograph? |

when I flip it upside down (i'm feeding bb's one by one into the chamber), so there is no mag in my gun right now
have any plans to be in the KW area in the coming week? I think it may come down to letting a second pair of hands and eyes examine my gun if I really want to find out the source problem. Last edited by Short Round; August 16th, 2010 at 21:22.. |

Ill be at the Twat Field in 2 weeks sunday, but thats brampton, not waterloo/kitchener.
what it sounds like you are saying, is that the round is not feeding into the hopup. Ie. The nozzle does not retract enough to allow the round to fall in.

I can spin the nozzle around in circles, is that normal or should it be secure and un moveable on the guarder? |

Try an other barrel.
Sound like your's is deformed a little and prevent the nozzle from working properly. |

As it turns out, hes using a guarder clear with a madbul teflon IB.
Due to it "mushrooming" from the Madbull's smaller outter diameter for their IB's, it sounds like its causing jams inside the hopup. Issue is well known in the gundoc community, but not widely known for most users. This is partially why Madbull states with their IB, "Best used with Madbull hop up rubbers" etc. (Or something along those lines if i remember correctly.)
